Online scams get smarter every year, and the people most often targeted have the least support. You can change that. No special background needed, just patience and a little time.
Your time protects real people.
Everything Lumoset offers is free: the courses, the scam alerts, the plain-language guides. That only works because people give their time to build it and share it. When you volunteer, you help a neighbor avoid a scam, recover a hacked account, or feel confident online for the very first time.
You don't need to be a tech expert. We provide the lesson plans, the materials, and the support. You bring the willingness to help someone learn.
Find a role that fits you.
Most volunteers give a couple of hours here and there. Pick what suits your time and your strengths, and you can always start small.
Teach or co-teach
Help lead a free class, online or in person, walking learners through spotting scams, using email safely, or getting started with everyday tech.
Mentor one-on-one
Sit alongside a single learner, answer their questions, and build their confidence at their own pace. Often the most meaningful help of all.
Spread the word
Share our free resources with a library, senior center, church, or community group near you, and help the people who need them find us.
Lend a professional skill
Good with writing, translation, design, video, or tech? Give a few hours of what you already do well and help us reach more people.
