Lumoset Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We help people of all ages, especially older adults, beginners, and those facing hardship, stay safe online and build the digital and money skills to work, connect, and thrive. In plain language, and always free.
Our founder
A note from Corey Young
I spent years as a police officer, and some of the hardest calls I answered had nothing to do with violence. They came from people who had just been scammed — an older neighbor who lost her savings to a voice on the phone, a family talked out of their money by someone who sounded official, a hardworking person chasing a job that was never real.
The scams kept changing. The heartbreak never did. And what stayed with me was how much of it was preventable — a few plain-language habits could have stopped so many of those losses. People just needed someone to show them, patiently and without judgment.
That is why we started Lumoset. We help everyday people — especially older adults, families, and anyone newer to technology — build the skills to stay safe and confident online, completely free. The world keeps changing and the tools keep moving faster; our job is to help people keep up and protect what they have worked for.

Nobody should get scammed for not knowing, and nobody should be left behind.
Every year, millions of people lose money and confidence to online scams, and it happens most to the people who were never shown how the internet really works: older adults, families, and anyone new to being online. That is not their fault.
But staying safe is only half of it. When someone cannot use email, apply for a job online, use a banking app, or make sense of new tools like AI, the world quietly leaves them behind. Confidence online is how people stay connected, earning, and independent.
So Lumoset does both: we help you stay safe from what is out there, and we help you feel capable using it. Free, and in plain language, always.
