Why Lumoset exists, who we are here for, and the future we are working toward. In plain language, and always free.
Lumoset Foundation helps people of all ages stay safe online and build the digital skills to live, work, and grow in a connected world. We serve the people the internet leaves behind first: older adults, people new to being online, and those facing economic hardship. Through free, plain-language education, we help people protect themselves from scams and fraud, and gain the everyday digital, work, and money skills that open the door to independence and opportunity. Nobody should be harmed by the internet for not understanding it, and nobody should be left behind by it.
A world where everyone, regardless of age, income, or background, can be safe and capable online, and where the digital economy has room for everyone to thrive. Where protecting yourself and building confidence online are within reach for all, and always free.
Everything we teach is free and in plain language. Our work falls into a few simple areas.
Recognize fraud, phishing, and online tricks, and the calm habits that stop most of them.
Set up and safely use email, accounts, and the everyday tools of modern life.
Find legitimate remote work, avoid fake-job traps, and actually get paid.
Use online banking with confidence and make sense of new tools like AI.
Free, judgment-free lessons for older adults, families, beginners, and anyone facing hardship.
No paywalls, no account, no catch. Free now, and free always.
Technology should include everyone. We meet people exactly where they are and help them take the next step, and we never make them feel late to it.
Every lesson is free, there is no account to create, and you can go at your own pace.
