In-Kind Giving
Give something other than money.
Not every gift comes from a checkbook. Devices, professional skills, and even meeting space can help us keep online-safety education free for everyone who needs it.
A gift of goods or skills, instead of cash.
An in-kind donation is something useful you give in place of money, like a working laptop for a learner, a few hours of professional help, or a room to hold a class. It's a practical way to support our mission with what you already have.
If you are not sure whether something you own would help, ask us before you buy or replace anything. The useful thing is often already sitting unused, and a short conversation saves you guessing. Tell us roughly what you have and when it would be free.
Every offer is reviewed to make sure it's a genuine fit for our work before we accept it.
Gifts we can put to good use.
Here are the kinds of in-kind gifts that make a real difference. Have something else in mind? Ask us, we're happy to talk it through.
Devices & equipment
Working laptops, tablets, or webcams that can help someone learn, or help us teach. Gently used and in good condition is perfectly fine.
Professional skills
Pro-bono help with writing, design, translation, video, accounting, or technology. A few hours of what you do best.
Meeting & teaching space
A room or venue in the Fort Wayne area where we can hold a class or a community workshop.
Tools & services
Software licenses, printing, or other services that lower our costs so more of every dollar goes to the mission.

Your gift reaches a real person.
A donated laptop can put a first-ever safe email account within reach. A few hours of your skill can turn into a lesson thousands of people read. Every in-kind gift stretches our small budget further and helps more people stay safe online.
Giving in-kind is simple.
Tell us about it
Reach out through our contact page and describe what you'd like to give.
We confirm the fit
We'll let you know if it's something we can use, and arrange drop-off or transfer.
You get an acknowledgment
We'll send a written thank-you and receipt describing your gift for your records.
A note on tax deductions
Lumoset Foundation, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and in-kind gifts may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We'll gladly provide a written acknowledgment describing what you donated. Please note that IRS rules ask the donor, not the charity, to determine the fair market value of a non-cash gift, so for anything of significant value we encourage you to keep your own records and check with your tax advisor. See our Donation Policies for more.
What we can actually use
Working devices, and a little of your time.
A laptop that still runs, a tablet nobody uses, or an hour a week goes further here than you would think.

Let's find the right way for you to help.
Tell us what you have in mind, and we'll take it from there.
