At Level 3, “be careful” is not enough. You need a simple verification habit.

Before acting on any investment pitch:

  • search the company or program name with words like “scam,” “complaint,” or “review”
  • check whether the person or platform exists beyond the chat itself
  • get details in writing
  • question any claim of guaranteed returns
  • do not trust screenshots, testimonials, or a polished dashboard on their own

FTC guidance on investment scams is clear: scammers often create fake proof and fake success stories. That means visual confidence is not evidence.

A quick example: a platform shows your account “growing” every day, but you cannot withdraw until you pay a fee, tax, or release charge. That is not a minor issue. It is the mechanism of the scam.

Cross-level note: Level 2 taught you to watch how the money moves. Here, that same habit helps you recognize fake investment platforms and fake profits.

What to do:

  • Verify outside the pitch, not inside it.
  • If withdrawals are delayed until you send more money, stop immediately.
  • Assume a private online coach with guaranteed returns is selling a story, not a safe investment.
