This is the main new skill of Level 2. AI often sounds more certain than it deserves.

Good ways to check AI’s work:

• ask where the answer came from
• compare it with the original document
• verify important claims on official websites
• ask it to show its reasoning in simpler steps
• look for anything too sweeping, too polished, or too convenient

You do not need to fact-check every grocery-list idea. You do need to fact-check advice about money, health, legal issues, account safety, and scams.

A quick example: AI says your bank fee is illegal and should be reversed immediately. That may sound confident. The right next step is to check the bank’s actual policy or ask the bank directly, not to assume the AI settled it.

Cross-level note: Level 1 taught “double-check anything that matters.” Level 2 turns that into a real working habit.

What to do:

• Treat AI as a starting point, not proof.
• Verify the parts that carry real consequences.
• Notice when the answer sounds too smooth to be true.
