At Level 2, response speed matters. You do not need to panic. You do need a short checklist.

If you think an account is under attack:

  • stop talking to the caller or texter
  • sign in through the official app or typed address
  • change the password
  • review recovery email and phone details
  • turn on or re-check 2FA
  • look for unauthorized changes or messages

If email is involved, secure that first. Email is often the key to resetting everything else.

Level 3 will go further into full breach recovery and household security. This level is about spotting the takeover attempt and interrupting it quickly.

What to do:

  • Protect email first.
  • Use official channels only.
  • Move fast, but do not follow the scammer’s pace.
