Once you are in, the portal is a friendly menu. Here is what each common button does, so nothing feels mysterious.

See your results. Look for Test Results or Lab Results. You can read them and often see a note from your care team. If a result worries you or you do not understand it, do not diagnose yourself; write it down and ask your doctor.

Message your care team. Look for Messages or Ask a Question. This is for non-urgent questions (“Is it okay to take this with my other pill?”). It is not for emergencies; for those, call 911 or your doctor’s office directly.

Refill a prescription. Look for Medications or Prescriptions, find the one you need, and tap Refill or Renew. You can often choose your pharmacy.

Manage appointments. Look for Appointments or Visits to see upcoming ones, and often a Schedule button to book a new one.

Read your visit summary. After an appointment, a Summary or After-Visit note explains what was discussed and any next steps. A calm way to remember instructions you might forget in the moment.

A quick example. You are running low on your blood-pressure pills. Instead of calling and waiting on hold, you open the portal, tap Medications, tap Refill next to that prescription, choose your usual pharmacy, and confirm. The refill is on its way in under a minute.

What to do:

  • Explore the menu: find Results, Messages, Medications, and Appointments.
  • Use Messages for non-urgent questions only; call for anything urgent.
  • If a result confuses or worries you, ask your doctor rather than guessing.
