Many people log in only to check the balance. Level 2 means learning to read the activity itself.
Look for:
- charges you do not recognize
- duplicate charges
- small test charges
- subscriptions you forgot
- cash movements you did not authorize
A quick example: a $1 or $2 charge can be a small test before a bigger theft attempt. Small does not automatically mean harmless.
What to do:
- Review transactions line by line, not just the total.
- Compare the statement to what you actually remember buying or authorizing.
- If something is unclear, check first before assuming it is fine.
