Many people log in only to check the balance. Level 2 means learning to read the activity itself.

Look for:

  • charges you do not recognize
  • duplicate charges
  • small test charges
  • subscriptions you forgot
  • cash movements you did not authorize

A quick example: a $1 or $2 charge can be a small test before a bigger theft attempt. Small does not automatically mean harmless.

What to do:

  • Review transactions line by line, not just the total.
  • Compare the statement to what you actually remember buying or authorizing.
  • If something is unclear, check first before assuming it is fine.
